How to Create A Baby Shower Registry for Twins

A baby shower registry for a couple that's expecting a baby can take a lot of stress of the expenses of readying the nursery for baby. Add to that the added expenditure when you're expecting twins, and a baby shower registry should probably be on the things on the top of your to do list.

Planning for twins is obviously different from planning g for a single child, but contrary to what you think, it doesn't have to be double the expenditure. Keep the following points in mind when you're creating a registry for baby gifts and you'll be able to cut the gift buying considerably. You don't want to saddle your friends and relatives with lots of stuff that you might not necessarily use. The host of the party, especially will already be saddled with the other expenses of throwing you a shower like baby shower favors, food and decorations, and doesn't need to be saddled with extra and heavy expenditure.

There are many baby gifts that can be used for both babies without the necessity of buying an extra piece of each. Baby gift baskets are perfect because each individual piece can be used for either baby, and nothing goes to waste.

You don't really need two separate cribs in the initial days. It's not as if your newborn twins will be rolling about - a single large sized crib is fine. Once they get bigger and need their own space, you can buy an extra one for one twin.

You will also not need two changing tables, no matter what you think. It's highly unlikely that you will change both babies at the same time and after some time, diaper changing becomes a matter of seconds. Once you get deft at it, (which will be pretty soon) you'll be able to change them one at a time. So, simply register for a single changing table.

Other things that you don't need two of is a nursery monitor, and diaper bag. Register for a single sturdy large sized diaper bag if you haven't already purchased it, and use it to stash extra diapers for twin duty. In any case, you'll look pretty funny with two diaper bags. Play pens if you're including that in your registry, should also be of a single piece.

A baby bathtub and a diaper pail are also perfectly fine in ones. You'll never use both at the same time anyway.

Don't hold back on twin strollers, car seats or bouncy seats though. These can't be shared, and having just one will make traveling with your babies impossible.
