By Anna L

Do you and your toddler get bored? Do you feel like you are doing the same activities over and over again? So you are running out of ideas, need a little help with How To Entertain Your Toddler. Believe me I have been there. I stay home with my 3 year old son, the greatest kid, but I needed help with some new ideas of activities for us to do.

Here are some great activities, how to entertain your toddler. (Before you go on I have to tell you about this great book I found - 101 Ways How To Entertain Your Toddler - 101 ways? YES, a life savior.)

1. Music and Dancing, is a lot of fun both for you and your toddler. If you want to close the blinds J go ahead. You pick a couple of songs, let your son or daughter pick a couple of songs and then you dance and sing together. Have a dance contest and let your toddler decide if you are a 5 or a 10 when you dance, you can even make some numbered signs. You will fun and get good exercise as well.

2. Take your toddler on a discovery walk. Take half and hour or so, walk out the door and let your toddler decide which direction to walk in. If she wants to stop and explore a flower or maybe a ladybug, let her. Count the dots on the ladybugs back, check what colors you can see. Make sure you do all this with your toddler and have fun doing it. Ask her what she sees, smells and hears. You will have fun listening to the answers. Bring a bag and let her collect some fun stuff that you can glue on a paper when you get back, leaves, sticks or maybe flowers. That will make a fun indoor project.

3. Dress up fun. Go to Goodwill and get a bunch of fun, fancy dress up clothes (old dresses, a boa, high heels, hats, boots, jackets, dress pants, ties). Have your toddler put on a fashion show, if you want to - join your toddler. Have a tea party, play office or restaurant. Let your toddler's imagination flow. Make sure to bring out the camera.

4. Let your toddler be the author of her own book. Let her pick a fun event, if you did a trip, when she went to stay with grandma and grandpa or when she went swimming or if she got a pet. Let her decide and have her dictate a little story to you. Then you put a few sentences down on a couple of pages and have her draw pictures to them. Staple it together or buy a binder and her book is done. She will feel so proud of her own work.
